Coaching is important to the body of youth that look up to women and men at every level of the sport.  No matter what sport you coach, some child or youth is looking up to you for guidance, attention and giving them a teachable moment.  Coaches are more than just coaches, they can be teachers, parents, mentors, life coaches and even friends.

Referees govern the game, ensuring the safety and integrity of good sportsmanship.  As a referee, the ethical standards are place at a higher level in order to ensure that both teams are being competitive and as referee, your unbiased approach to governing and protecting the rules of the game become significant.
